Mission Statement

The fundamental purpose of an "Organization for Fire Services" is the protection of people and property in an intricate society.

Society has long recognized its responsibility for extinguishment once combustibles are ignited. The responsibility of the Voluntown Volunteer Fire Company #1 Inc. has expanded beyond the extinguishment of combustibles to include a widening range of purposes.

These include providing Emergency Medical Services for On-Scene patient stabilization, transportation of the sick and injured, control of hazardous materials, the preservation of life in disasters and major emergencies, pre-fire planning, master planning, mutual aid agreements and rescue work.

It is toward this end that the Voluntown Volunteer Fire Company #1 Inc. was founded and incorporated in the Town of Voluntown, Connecticut.

The facility housing the members, apparatus, equipment and operation of the Voluntown Volunteer Fire Company #1 Inc. is located at 205 Preston City Road, Voluntown, Connecticut.
